ORDINANCE NO.   11-5-2      

Title

An ordinance to amend the Code of Ordinances Appendix A, Section VI. D [I]. 1. c. Special Permit Uses in the M-1 Zoning District, to allow automotive racing as a special permit.

Body

WHEREAS,      the St. Charles Parish Council wishes to add automotive racing as a Special Permit Use in the M-1 Zoning District; and,

WHEREAS,      the St. Charles Parish Council wishes to require an automotive racing land use to obtain a recommendation from the Planning and Zoning Commission and an ordinance granting approval by the Parish Council.

THE ST. CHARLES PARISH COUNCIL HEREBY ORDAINS:

      That the St. Charles Parish Code of Ordinances, Appendix A, Section VI. D. [I]. 1. c. is amended to add:

      (8)      Automotive racing tracks and strips upon receiving a recommendation of the Planning and Zoning Commission and an ordinance granting approval by the Parish Council.
