Title
An ordinance to revoke and abandon an undeveloped portion of Travis Street in Paradis, said property serving no public use.
Body
WHEREAS, certain properties located in Section 39, T14S, R20E were laid out for use as a public street in what is identified on a survey by R.P. Bernard, PLS, and dated December 18, 2000 as Survey Showing Lots 1, 2, 10, 11 & 1/2 of 12 & a Commercial Plot Fronting on U.S. Hwy 90; and,
WHEREAS, said Travis Street was donated to St. Charles Parish by Ordinance No. 87-11-4 recorded as Entry No. 132560 in Conveyance Book No. 382, Folio 308 on November 14, 1987 in the records of the St. Charles Parish Clerk of Court Office; and,
WHEREAS, that certain portion of Travis Street located between Lots 10 and 1 has no public use and/or benefit; and,
WHEREAS, the St. Charles Parish Council desires to revoke said property as provided by law unto the present record owners of the adjacent property.
THE ST. CHARLES PARISH COUNCIL HEREBY ORDAINS:
SECTION I. That the Act of Revocation of a certain undeveloped portion of Travis Street, Paradis between Lots 10 and 1, laid out for use as a public street in what is identified on a survey by R.P. Bernard, PLS, and dated December 18, 2000 as Survey Showing Lots 1, 2, 10, 11 & 1/2 of 12 & a Commercial Plot Fronting on U.S. Hwy 90 is hereby approved and accepted.
SECTION II. That the Parish President is hereby authorized to execute said Act of Revocation.

The foregoing ordinance having been submitted to a vote, the vote thereon was as follows:
And the ordinance was declared adopted this ______ day of ______________, 2006, to become effective five (5) days after publication in the Official Journal.
