Title

An ordinance to amend Ordinance No. 01-8-4, an Agreement between the Center for Family and Youth Services, Inc. and St. Charles Parish to implement Louisiana Commission on Law Enforcement and Administration of Criminal Justice Subgrant Number A98-8-028 to increase the Grant amount from $82,594.00 to $102,594.00.

Body

WHEREAS,      St. Charles Parish, in conjunction with the Judges of the 29^th Judicial District, the Sheriff's Office, District Attorney's Office and the Schools Drug Free Program applied for a Juvenile Accountability Incentive Block Grant through the Louisiana Commission on Law Enforcement and Administration of Criminal Justice to develop and administer accountability - based sanctions for juvenile offenders; and,

WHEREAS,      on March 11, 2002, the Parish was notified that the Commission had increased the Grant in the amount from $71,998.00 (Federal Share) with a local cash match of $10,596.00 to $92,335.00 Federal Funds and $10,259.00 Local Funds; and,

WHEREAS,      it is the desire of the Parish and the Center for Family and Youth Services to amend the agreement for the implementation of Subgrant Number A98-8-028.

THE ST. CHARLES PARISH COUNCIL HEREBY ORDAINS:

      SECTION I.      That Amendment No. 1 between the Center for Family and Youth Services, Inc. and St. Charles Parish is hereby approved.

      SECTION II.      That the Parish President is hereby authorized to execute said Amendment on behalf of St. Charles Parish.
