Title
An ordinance to approve and authorize the execution of a contract with Barriere Construction Company, LLC. for the construction of Parish Project No. P040503, Louisiana Community Development Block Grant (L.C.D.B.G.) Program, in the amount of $409,132.00.
Body
WHEREAS, sealed bids were received by St. Charles Parish on November 19, 2004 for L.C.D.B.G. Program; and,
WHEREAS, Shread-Kuyrkendall and Associates, Inc., Consulting Engineers for the Project, have reviewed the bids and recommend that the Contract be awarded to the low bidder, Barriere Construction Company, LLC. in the amount of $409,132.00.
THE ST. CHARLES PARISH COUNCIL HEREBY ORDAINS:
SECTION I. That the bid of Barriere Construction Company, LLC. for the construction of St. Charles Parish Project No. P040503, L.C.D.B.G. Program, be hereby accepted in the amount of $409,132.00.
SECTION II. That the Parish President is hereby authorized to execute the attached contract documents.

The foregoing ordinance having been submitted to a vote, the vote thereon was as follows:
And the ordinance was declared adopted this ______ day of ____________, 2004, to become effective five (5) days after publication in the Official Journal.
