    IN   RECOGNITION
 
WHEREAS,      Ashlyn M. Falgout is a resident of St. Charles Parish residing in Destrehan, Louisiana with her parents Coral and Stacie Falgout; and,
WHEREAS,      Ashlyn graduated from Destrehan High School as a 2004 Magna Cum Laude Graduate, she received a Loyola Academic Scholarship & Scholar Award, and the St. Charles Women's Club Scholarship; and,
WHEREAS,      Ashlyn was a Parish, District, & State Young Author's Contest Winner, received a Character Education Award, was a member of Who's Who Among High School Students, was a 2004 Washington D.C. Mardi Gras Ball Princess, and received the Congressional Leadership Award; and,
WHEREAS,      Ashlyn is attending Loyola University of New Orleans majoring in Communications with a minor in Political Science; and,
WHEREAS,      for the past 16 years, Ashyln has been a dancer at Dance Unlimited; she enjoys Creative Writing, is a member of St. Charles Farm Bureau Women's Committee, a Juvenile Rheumatoid Arthritis Spokesperson, and a Relay for Life Volunteer; and,
WHEREAS,      Ashlyn has faced many obstacles in her life but instead of dwelling on the negativity she has met each one with a positive outlook and accepted each challenge; she describes herself as being genuine, tenacious, and compassionate.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, THAT WE, THE MEMBERS OF THE ST. CHARLES PARISH COUNCIL AND THE PARISH PRESIDENT, do hereby offer this tribute and recognition to
ASHLYN M. FALGOUT
MISS ST. CHARLES PARISH FESTIVAL QUEEN XLVI
