IN RECOGNITION
WHEREAS, Wesley P. Davis is a resident of St. Charles Parish residing in Luling, Louisiana with his parents Frank and Martha Davis; and,
WHEREAS, Wesley is a member of Troop 41, chartered by Holy Family Catholic Church in Luling; he started his Scouting career with Pack 371 at the age of 6; and,
WHEREAS, Wesley has spent the last 12 years as an active member of the Scouts spending the last 7 years preparing to become an EAGLE SCOUT; and,
WHEREAS, Wesley has earned his 12 required badges and 10 elective badges from a list of 128 badges and completed his Eagle Scout Service Project by removing and replacing playground equipment at Holy Family Catholic Church. After Hurricane Katrina, Wesley remarked one of his proudest moments was realizing that his community project survived the Hurricane without damage; and,
WHEREAS, Wesley earned these 22 required badges by showing leadership in independently developing, planning, and managing other scouts and issuing a final report on a community project; and,
WHEREAS, Wesley rose to the rank of EAGLE SCOUT on July 20, 2005, under Troop 41 and received his medal in a ceremony on December 22, 2005, at Holy Family Catholic Church; and,
WHEREAS, Wesley is a 2005 cum laude graduate of Hahnville High School, was a member of the Beta Club, Swim Team, and the Air Force Jr. ROTC. He also served as Captain of his Altar Server Team at Holy Family Catholic Church and managed to maintain a part-time job during High School; and,
WHEREAS, Wesley is currently a sophomore at LA Tech University in Ruston under the LA TOPS Program and LA Tech University Outstanding Student Scholarship. Wesley is enjoying flying as he pursues a degree in Professional Aviation; and,
