ORDINANCE NO. 02-2-4
Title
An ordinance approving and authorizing the execution of Change Order No. One (1) for Parish Project No. P980703 Destrehan I Pump Station Upgrade to change various items in the bid form to lump sum rather than unit prices and to increase the contract time by 60 calendar days.
Body
WHEREAS, Ordinance No. 01-11-4 adopted November 5, 2001 by the St. Charles Parish Council, approved and authorized the execution of a contract with Boh Bros. Construction Company, L.L.C. for the construction of Destrehan I Pump Station Upgrade in the amount of $3,179,684.00; and,
WHEREAS, changes to lump sum from unit prices in the bid form for various item numbers were necessary to ensure that Boh Bros. Construction Company, L.L.C. provided an extension of the bid price; and,
WHEREAS, an older version of Section 00500 was inadvertently submitted with Ordinance No. 01-11-4 which contained 240 days, rather than the 300 days that was actually bid on by contractors.
THE ST. CHARLES PARISH COUNCIL HEREBY ORDAINS:
SECTION I. That Change Order No. One (1) to the contract for the Destrehan I Pump Station Upgrade to change various items in the bid form to lump sum rather than unit prices and to increase the contract time by 60 calendar days in hereby approved.
SECTION II. That the Parish President is hereby authorized to execute said Change Order.

The foregoing ordinance having been submitted to a vote, the vote thereon was as follows:
YEAS: RAMCHANDRAN, FAUCHEUX, HILAIRE, FABRE, ABADIE, AUTHEMENT, BLACK
NAYS: NONE
ABSENT: MARINO, MINNICH
And the ordinance was declared adopted this 18th day of February , 2002, to become effective five (5) days after publication in the Official Journal.
