Title
An ordinance to approve and authorize the execution of a professional service contract with SHREAD-KUYRKENDALL & ASSOCIATES, INC. for providing certain preliminary engineering services for the proposed Des Allemands Bulkhead project. (Parish Project Number P180801).
Body
WHEREAS, St. Charles Parish desires to provide more effective, long-term flood protection to property owners along Bayou Des Allemands from Schaubhut Lane to Lucky Lane; and,
WHEREAS, a new bulkhead would provide long-term flood protection to this area of the Parish; and
WHEREAS, the Parish received a proposal from Shread-Kuyrkendall & Associates, Inc. to perform certain preliminary engineering services for the proposed bulkhead; and,
WHEREAS, the attached contract between the Parish and Shread-Kuyrkendall & Associates, Inc. describes the details of the proposed services and compensation.
THE ST. CHARLES PARISH COUNCIL HEREBY ORDAINS:
SECTION I. That the Professional Services Contract between Shread-Kuyrkendall & Associates, Inc. and St. Charles Parish for services as required by the Department Of Public Works is hereby approved and accepted.
SECTION II. That the Parish President is hereby authorized to execute said Professional Services Contract on behalf of St. Charles Parish.
The foregoing ordinance having been submitted to a vote, the vote thereon was as follows:
And the ordinance was declared adopted this day of , 2018, to become effective five (5) days after publication in the Official Journal.
