Title
A resolution providing mandatory supporting authorization to waive the 1500' maximum block length as outlined in Planning & Zoning Commission Case PZS-99-82.
Body
WHEREAS, the St. Charles Parish Subdivision Regulations of 1981 (as amended) requires both Planning & Zoning Commission approval and a supporting resolution of the Parish Council for variations to the subdivision regulations; and,
WHEREAS, the applicants, Naomi & Frances Landry, & Billy & Jacquelyn Carvin have presented a subdivision plan to create 103 residential lots in St. Rose, Louisiana; and,
WHEREAS, expansion of this proposed subdivision would include a 15-foot drainage servitude adjacent to a drainage canal between the proposed subdivision and Bar None Ranch Estates; and,
WHEREAS, the Planning & Zoning Commission recommends waiver of the 1500' block length minimum but to require a cross street connection in the rear of the subdivision at approximately 3800'; and,
WHEREAS, the proposed variation from the subdivision regulations has received approval from the St. Charles Parish Planning and Zoning Commission.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED THAT WE, THE MEMBERS OF THE ST. CHARLES PARISH COUNCIL, do hereby provide this supporting resolution for a waiver to the Subdivision requirement that limits block lengths to a maximum of 1500' as outlined in Planning & Zoning Commission Case PZS-99-82.
