RESOLUTION NO.
Title
A resolution approving and authorizing the application to the Corporation for National and Community Services (CNCS) for FY 2020 Retired Seniors Volunteer Program (RSVP) Competition funding in the amount of $62,400 for the River Parishes RSVP.
Body
WHEREAS, the River Parishes RSVP provides volunteer opportunities for persons age 55 and older at various service organizations throughout St. Charles Parish, St. James Parish and St. John the Baptist Parish; and,
WHEREAS, applications are being accepted by the CNCS for the FY 2020 funding cycle; and,
WHEREAS, the application must be submitted by a representative of the sponsor who is authorized by its governing body; and,
WHEREAS, the representative will certify that all data in the application are true and correct, the application has been duly authorized by the governing body of the applicant, and the applicant will comply with the Assurances submitted with the application, if the assistance is awarded; and,
WHEREAS, the Parish Council is in support of the application.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, THAT WE, THE MEMBERS OF THE ST. CHARLES PARISH COUNCIL, hereby provide this resolution in support of the application to CNCS the FY 2020 RSVP Competition.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Executive Director of Community Affairs, Dwayne LaGrange, is designated as the Authorized Representative and is hereby authorized to execute said application and to act on behalf of St. Charles Parish in all matters pertaining to this application and subsequent grant award.
The foregoing resolution having been submitted to a vote, the vote thereon was as follows:
