Title
An ordinance to approve and authorize the execution of a contract with D&O Contractors, Inc. for the construction of the East Bank Water Storage Tanks Base Bid Plus Alternate Bid No. 1 in the amount of 3,059,489.60.
Body
WHEREAS, sealed bids were received by the Parish on March 23, 2007, for the Construction of the East Bank Water Storage Tanks; and,
WHEREAS, St. Charles Parish has entered into a Cooperative Endeavor Agreement with the State of Louisiana to fund this project through the Louisiana State Capital Outlay Program in the amount of $3,580,000; and,
WHEREAS, Shread-Kuyrkendall & Associates, Inc., Consulting Engineer for the Project, has reviewed the bids and recommend that the Contract be awarded to the low bidder, D&O Contractors, Inc. for the Base Bid Plus Alternate Bid No. 1 in the amount of $3,059,489.60.
THE ST. CHARLES PARISH COUNCIL HEREBY ORDAINS:
SECTION I. That the Base Bid Plus Alternate Bid No. 1 of D&O Contractors, Inc. for the Construction of the East Bank Water Storage Tanks be hereby accepted in the amount of $3,059,489.60.
SECTION II. That the Parish President is hereby authorized to execute the attached contract documents.
