Title
An ordinance to approve and authorize the execution of an Act of Transfer by the St. Charles Humane Society to St. Charles Parish for a certain parcel of property located at 931 Rue La Cannes, Esperanza Business Park Phase I, in Luling to be used as the site for the construction of the St. Charles Parish Animal Shelter.
Body
WHEREAS, the St. Charles Humane Society is the owner of a certain parcel of land identified as Lot 1A located at 931 Rue La Cannes in Luling, said property having been donated to the St. Charles Humane Society by Esperanza Land, LLC on October 8, 2007; and,
WHEREAS, said parcel of land is the proposed site of the new St. Charles Parish Animal Shelter and it is the desire of the St. Charles Humane Society to transfer said property to the Parish for the construction of said Shelter in accordance with the terms and conditions of said Act of Transfer; and,
WHEREAS, it is the desire of the Parish Council to approve and accept said Act of Transfer.
THE ST. CHARLES PARISH COUNCIL HEREBY ORDAINS:
SECTION I. That the Act of Transfer by the St. Charles Humane Society to St. Charles Parish for Lot 1A Esperanza Business Park Phase I, 931 Rue La Cannes in Luling is hereby approved and accepted.
SECTION II. That the Parish President is hereby authorized to execute said Act of Transfer on behalf of St. Charles Parish.

And the ordinance was declared adopted this day of , 2011, to become effective five (5) days after publication in the Official Journal.
