Title
An ordinance to amend the Code of Ordinances Chapter 22. Sewers and Sewage Disposal, Article IV. General Sewer Use Regulations, Section 22-74. Building sewers and connections by adding after (1), (a).
Body
THE ST. CHARLES PARISH COUNCIL HEREBY ORDAINS:
SECTION I. That the Code of Ordinances, Chapter 22. Sewers and Sewage Disposal, Article IV. General Sewer Use Regulations, Section 22-74. Building sewers and connections be amended by adding after (1), (a) as follows:
(a) The sewer permit form shall contain a section identified as “Sewer Availability” for checking off “YES” or “NO” indicating that public sewer exists or does not exist adjacent to the property. Immediately following this section of the permit, the permit shall have space provided to allow the Sewer Department to indicate the option(s) available for the applicant in cases where the permit is marked NO. If “Sewer Availability” is checked YES, the permit shall be completed. If “Sewer Availability” is checked NO, applicant's option(s) shall be listed on the permit and a copy of the incomplete permit shall be provided to the applicant and to the Planning and Zoning Department. The completed sewer permit after originally being checked NO shall be provided to the Planning and Zoning Department upon the applicant implementing the option(s) available at their expense and to the satisfaction of the Sewer Department. The permit shall be the same original permit document initially checked NO which listed the applicant's option(s). The NO shall be marked through with the date indicated next to the mark and the option implemented is to be identified on the permit. In no case shall the Planning and Zoning Department issue a building permit without having first received the completed sewer permit from the Sewer Department.
