Title
An ordinance to approve and authorize the execution of an agreement with the Department of Transportation and Development for the St. Charles West Bank Bicycle Path State Project No. 744-45-0007, Federal Aid Project No. ENH-4502 (500).
Body
WHEREAS, by letter dated March 4, 2002 from Ms. Elizabeth Ann Wells, P.E., Plan Development Engineer for the Department of Transportation and Development, the Parish was advised that the St. Charles West Bank Bicycle/Pedestrian Path had been accepted into the 2002 Enhancement Program; and,
WHEREAS, on February 18, 2002 the St. Charles Parish Council adopted Resolution No. 4997 in support of the project; and,
WHEREAS, the Department of Transportation has prepared an agreement to provide funding of the project which the Parish Council desires to approve.
THE ST. CHARLES PARISH COUNCIL HEREBY ORDAINS:
SECTION I. That the Agreement by and between the Department of Transportation and Development and the Parish of St. Charles for State Project No. 744-45-0007, Federal Aid Project No. ENH-4502 (500), St. Charles Parish West Bank Bicycle Path is hereby approved.
SECTION II. That the Parish President is hereby authorized to execute said Agreement on behalf of the Parish of St. Charles.

The foregoing ordinance having been submitted to a vote, the vote thereon was as follows:
And the ordinance was declared adopted this day of , 2002, to become effective five (5) days after publication in the Official Journal.
