ORDINANCE NO.                     

Title

An ordinance to approve and authorize the execution of Change Order No. 2 for the East Regional Library located at 160 West Campus Drive, Destrehan in the amount of a $2,717.68 decrease and an increase of forty eight days.

Body

WHEREAS,      the St. Charles Parish Council adopted Ordinance No. 08-5-3 on May 5, 2008 approving and authorizing the execution of a contract with Lamar Contractors, Inc. for the construction of the East Regional Library at 160 West Campus Drive in Destrehan; and,

WHEREAS,      it is necessary to adjust the original contract, as amended by Change Order No. 1, to reflect those items more fully described in Change Order No. 2, said adjustment as recommended by Chenevert Architects, LLC, to decrease the dollar amount by $2,717.68 and increase the Contract Time by 48 days; and,

WHEREAS,      it is the desire of the Parish Council to approve said Change Order No. 2.

THE ST. CHARLES PARISH COUNCIL HEREBY ORDAINS:

SECTION I.      That Change Order No. 2 for the East Bank Regional Library in the amount of a $2,717.68 decrease and an increase of forty eight days is hereby approved.

SECTION II.      That the Parish President is hereby authorized to execute said Change Order on behalf of St. Charles Parish.
