Title
An ordinance to approve and authorize the execution of a contract with M.R. Pittman Group, LLC for the East Bank Water Treatment Plant Upgrade in the amount of 26,450,000.00.
Body
WHEREAS, sealed bids were received by the Parish on August 8, 2008, for the East Bank Water Treatment Plant Upgrade; and,
WHEREAS, Shread-Kuyrkendall & Associates, Inc., Consulting Engineer for the Project, has reviewed the bids and recommend that the Contract be awarded to the low bidder, M.R. Pittman Group, LLC in the amount of $26,450,000.00.
THE ST. CHARLES PARISH COUNCIL HEREBY ORDAINS:
SECTION I. That the bid of M.R. Pittman Group, LLC for the East Bank Water Treatment Plant Upgrade be hereby accepted in the amount of $26,450,000.00.
SECTION II. That the Parish President is hereby authorized to execute the attached contract documents.

And the ordinance was declared adopted this day of , 2008, to become effective five (5) days after publication in the Official Journal.
