Proclamation: United Way of St. Charles Bridge Run Day

PROCLAMATION
WHEREAS, on Saturday, March 28, 2015, the 19th Annual United Way of St. Charles 5K/10K Bridge Run, presented by Norco Manufacturing Complex, and others, will be held to benefit United Way of St. Charles; and,
WHEREAS, United Way of St. Charles provides funding to thirty agencies that provide a wide range of health and human services in St. Charles Parish, and develops and implements programs that target specific needs in the community; and,
WHEREAS, these services include promoting education, financial stability, health, wellness, and independence, strengthening the community and supporting families, assisting with basic and emergency needs, and helping kids succeed; and,
WHEREAS, United Way works to create lasting changes in St. Charles Parish through collaborative partnerships in the areas of education, income, and health; and,
WHEREAS, the Parish President and the members of the Parish Council wish to join in and lend their support for this most worthy cause.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, THAT WE, THE MEMBERS OF THE ST. CHARLES PARISH COUNCIL AND THE PARISH PRESIDENT, DO HEREBY PROCLAIM SATURDAY, MARCH 28, 2015, AS
UNITED WAY OF ST. CHARLES
BRIDGE RUN DAY
IN
ST. CHARLES PARISH
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, THAT THE CITIZENS OF ST. CHARLES PARISH ARE HEREBY URGED TO JOIN IN THE FESTIVITIES OF THIS UNIQUE EVENT.
