Title
An ordinance to approve and authorize the execution of an Engineering Services Contract with GSE Associates, Inc. for the design of Parish Project No. P000303, Parishwide Telemetry, Phase III.
Body
WHEREAS, St. Charles Parish is in the process of implementing telemetry at all drainage pump stations; and,
WHEREAS, this project will install upgrades to the telemetry systems at Cousin's, Eighty Arpent, Destrehan I, and Destrehan II Pump Stations and full telemetry installations at Lakewood, Willowdale I, and Diane Pump Stations; and,
WHEREAS, the QBS Selection Board met on February 26, 2003 and recommended award of Parish Project No. P000303, Parishwide Telemetry, Phase III to GSE Associates, Inc. (See Attachment A); and,
WHEREAS, the Probable Project Budget for this contract is as follows:
Construction $ 485,000
Basic Engineering 42,000
Survey 10,000
Resident Inspection 60,000
Testing 13,000
Geotechnical/Other 13,000
Total Probable Project Budget $ 623,000
THE ST. CHARLES PARISH COUNCIL HEREBY ORDAINS:
SECTION I. That the Engineering Services Contract with GSE Associates, Inc. for the design of Parish Project No. P000303, Parishwide Telemetry, Phase III be hereby accepted.
SECTION II. That the Parish President is hereby authorized to execute the attached Engineering Services Contract.
