IN RECOGNITION
WHEREAS, Nicholas Clement Binet is a resident of St. Charles Parish residing in Luling, Louisiana with his parents Jason and Gretchen and his brother Daniel Joseph; and,
WHEREAS, Nicholas is an Order of the Arrow Representative and Member of Troop 34, chartered by The Luling Branch of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints; and,
WHEREAS, Nicholas started his Scouting career as a nine year old Bobcat, working his way through the ranks as a Cub Scout, Boy Scout, and finally an Eagle Scout; and,
WHEREAS, Nicholas has spent 7 years as an active member of the Scouts spending his time preparing to become an Eagle Scout; and,
WHEREAS, Nicholas has earned his 12 required merit badges and 27 elective badges from a list of 132 badges and completed his Eagle Scout Service Project by leading a group in painting a myriad of games, teacher's aides, and line formations on the paved playground and school property of Mimosa Park Elementary School; and,
WHEREAS, Nicholas earned these 39 required badges by showing leadership ability as Senior Patrol Leader, Patrol Leader, Librarian, and OA Representative; and,
WHEREAS, Nicholas rose to the rank of EAGLE SCOUT on March 20, 2007 and will receive his medal in a ceremony on August 25, 2007 at The Luling Branch of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints; and,
WHEREAS, Nicholas is a Junior at Hahnville High School and his future plans are to attend college within Louisiana majoring in English Education, he will continue to grow as an Eagle Scout by keeping active in the Scouting Program.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, THAT WE, THE MEMBERS OF THE ST. CHARLES PARISH COUNCIL AND THE PARISH PRESIDENT, do hereby offer this tribute and recognition to
