Title
An ordinance to amend the Code of Ordinances to modify permit fees, Chapter 6, Buildings and Building Regulations, Article II, Section 6-15. Fees, by adding Warehousing as a Permit Type and setting fees for said permitting.
Body
WHEREAS, St. Charles Parish Permit Fees are regularly reviewed to ensure that fees cover the cost of required reviews, but not so high as to be a burden on permittees; and,
WHEREAS, the current fee schedule does not distinguish between climate controlled and non-climate controlled warehouse space; and,
WHEREAS, non-climate controlled warehouse space require far less review and inspection than new commercial construction; and,
WHEREAS, the permit fee schedule should be modified to reflect this distinction.
THE ST. CHARLES PARISH COUNCIL HEREBY ORDAINS:
SECTION I. That the St. Charles Parish Code, Chapter 6, Buildings and Building Regulations, Article II, Section 6-15. Fees, is modified to add the following:
(a) Permit, plan review, and inspection fees by type
