IN RECOGNITION
WHEREAS, Kevin Benoit is a resident of St. Charles Parish residing in Hahnville, Louisiana with his parents Todd and Lisa Benoit, his brother Randy, and sister Sarah; and,
WHEREAS, Kevin, an eighth grade student at Landry Middle School, has been named 2005 Landry Middle School Student of the Year and 2005 District Middle School Student of the Year; and,
WHEREAS, Kevin is Vice-President of the Junior Beta Club, School Ambassador and Tour Guide, an Honor Roll Student, and a member of the baseball team and band; and,
WHEREAS, Kevin has represented Landry Middle School at the National Computer Educators Convention and Teen Institute at Nicholls State University. He was also chosen to participate in the Duke Talent Search Program taking the ACT test with a overall score of 17 with a 19 in language arts; and,
WHEREAS, Kevin is an altar server at Our Lady of the Most Holy Rosary Catholic Church in Hahnville, participates in the St. Charles Recreation Department's baseball program and is a volunteer at Luling Nursing Home; and,
WHEREAS, Kevin lists some of his accomplishments as being selected altar server of the year, winning social studies fairs, being named a top reader and a Top Tiger at School, and winning awards in the School and Parish Young Authors Contest; and,
WHEREAS, Kevin enjoys writing and would like to one day become an author, preferably of fiction books.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, THAT WE, THE MEMBERS OF THE ST. CHARLES PARISH COUNCIL AND THE PARISH PRESIDENT, do hereby offer this tribute and recognition to
