Title
A resolution authorizing the Parish President and the Department of Economic Development & Tourism to accept a $20,000 grant from the USDA Office of Rural Development.
Body
WHEREAS, in January 2001, the Department of Economic Development & Tourism submitted a $20,000 grant request to the USDA Office of Rural Development; and,
WHEREAS, said funding will be used to develop and implement a Strategic Plan for St. Charles Parish; and,
WHEREAS, the USDA Office of Rural Development recently approved the funding request; and,
WHEREAS, on May 18, 2001, the Department of Economic Development & Tourism endorsed a grant funding agreement with the U.S. Department of Agriculture.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, THAT WE, THE MEMBERS OF THE ST. CHARLES PARISH COUNCIL do hereby ratify the funding agreement between the Department of Economic Development & Tourism and the USDA Office of Rural Development.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the St. Charles Parish Council authorizes the Parish President and the Department of Economic Development & Tourism to accept a grant in the amount of $20,000 from the USDA Office of Rural Development.
