Title
An ordinance to amend the St. Charles Parish Zoning Ordinance of 1981, to change the zoning classification from R-1A to R-1A(M) on property designated as Lots 1 and 2, Block A, Good Hope Plantation as requested by Stein Management, LLC.
Body
WHEREAS, Stein Management, LLC, request a rezoning from R-1A to R-1A(M) on property designated as Lots 1 and 2, Block A, Good Hope Plantation, as shown on the survey by Clint M. Simoneaux, dated February 19, 2024; and,
WHEREAS, the Planning and Zoning Department recommended denial of the request; and,
WHEREAS, the Planning and Zoning Commission recommended denial of the request at its regular meeting on July 9, 2026.
THE ST. CHARLES PARISH COUNCIL HEREBY ORDAINS:
SECTION I. The Zoning Ordinance of 1981 is amended to change the zoning classification from R-1A to R-1A(M) on property designated as Lots 1 and 2, Block A, Good Hope Plantation, as shown on the survey by Clint M. Simoneaux, dated February 19, 2024, as requested by Stein Management, LLC.
SECTION II. The Department of Planning and Zoning is authorized to amend the Official Zoning Map, St. Charles Parish, Louisiana to reflect this reclassification from R-1A to R-1A(M) on property designated as Lots 1 and 2, Block A, Good Hope Plantation, as shown on the survey by Clint M. Simoneaux, dated February 19, 2024, as requested by Stein Management, LLC.
The foregoing ordinance having been submitted to a vote, the vote thereon was as follows:
And the ordinance was declared adopted this ______ day of ___________, 2026, to become effective five (5) days after publication in the Official Journal.
