IN RECOGNITION
WHEREAS, Carl Montet, is a native of Marrero, Louisiana and long-time resident of St. Charles Parish residing in Luling with his wife Rosemary. They are the proud parents of two sons, Carl, Jr., married to Nadine and Jude married to Rhonda; four Grandchildren, Joshua, Jonathan, Ross, and Michelle; and three Great-Grandchildren, Sydni, Gracyn, and Ava; and,
WHEREAS, Mr. Montet is a graduate of West Jefferson High School in Harvey, and Nicholls State University in Thibodaux; and,
WHEREAS, Mr. Montet worked as a Librarian and then a Counselor for St. Charles Parish Public Schools from August 28, 1967, retiring June 2, 2000. He worked at Luling Elementary, Mimosa Elementary, and Allemands Elementary, but spent most of his working years at J.B. Martin Middle School; and,
WHEREAS, while working full time with St. Charles Parish Schools, Mr. Montet also worked as a part-time assistant with the St. Charles Parish Library; and,
WHEREAS, Mr. Montet, worked for a short time at the Hahnville Library until the West Regional Library located in Luling was constructed. Once it opened its doors March of 1977, he transferred there working until he resigned on April 28, 2016.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, THAT WE, THE MEMBERS OF THE ST. CHARLES PARISH COUNCIL, AND THE PARISH PRESIDENT, do hereby offer this tribute and recognition to
