ORDINANCE NO.
Title
An ordinance approving and authorizing the execution of Change Order No. 1 for Parish Project No S170601, Luling Oxidation Pond Rehabilitation and Upgrades, to increase the contract amount by $489,238.60, and increase the contract time by 199 days.
Body
WHEREAS, Ordinance No. 17-7-17 adopted July 31, 2017, by the St. Charles Parish Council approved and authorized the execution of a Contract for professional engineering services with Glenn G. Shaheen & Associates, Inc. (GSA) for Parish Project No. S170601 Luling Oxidation Pond Rehabilitation and Upgrades; and,
WHEREAS, Ordinance No. 20-9-4 adopted September 21, 2020, by the St. Charles Parish Council awarded construction of Parish Project No. S170601, Luling Oxidation Pond Rehabilitation and Upgrades to BLD Services, LLC; and,
WHEREAS, Ordinance No. 21-6-13 adopted June 7, 2021, by the St. Charles Parish Council approved and authorized the execution of Amendment No. 1 to Ordinance No. 17-7-17, Single Project Contract for engineering services with GSA Consulting Engineers, Inc. for Parish Project No. S170601 Luling Oxidation Pond Rehabilitation and Upgrades; and,
WHEREAS, it is necessary to amend the contract by adjusting the contract quantities with requested and necessary work resulting in an increase to the contract amount by $489,238.60, and increase the number of contract calendar days by 199.
THE ST. CHARLES PARISH COUNCIL HEREBY ORDAINS:
SECTION I. That Change Order No. 1 for Parish Project No. S170601, Luling Oxidation Pond Rehabilitation and Upgrades, to increase the contract amount by $489,238.60 and increase the contract time by 199 days is hereby approved and accepted.
SECTION II. That the Parish President is hereby authorized to execute said Change Order No. 1 on behalf of St. Charles Parish.
