Title
An ordinance to levy an assessment on the ad valorem tax bills of property owners that are delinquent in paying outstanding invoices for removal of weeds, grass, etc. in accordance with the St. Charles Parish Code, Chapter 16, Article III, Weeds, Grass, etc. and An ordinance to levy an assessment on the ad valorem tax bills of property owners that are delinquent in paying outstanding charges incurred for the removal of trash and debris in accordance with Chapter 16, Article IV, Sec. 16-48(b).
Body
WHEREAS, Chapter 16, Article III of the St. Charles Parish Code establishes requirements for the maintenance of property within the parish regarding the removal of weeds, grass, or other noxious matter; and,
WHEREAS, the provisions of Chapter 16, Article III have been adhered to, and certain property owners have not paid the outstanding invoices due on their property.
THE ST. CHARLES PARISH COUNCIL HEREBY ORDAINS:
SECTION I. That in accordance with the St. Charles Parish Code, Chapter 16, Article III Section 16-28, we do hereby levy and assess onto the ad valorem tax bills of the properties listed on Exhibit “A” the charges, noted therein, for outstanding invoices billed during the calendar year of 2002-2003, for services performed on said property.
SECTION II. That the Tax Collector of St. Charles Parish is hereby authorized to make such collections as imposed herein, and a copy of said ordinance shall be forwarded to his office by the Council Secretary.

The foregoing ordinance having been submitted to a vote, the vote thereon was as follows:
And the ordinance was declared adopted this _______ day of _____________, 2003, to become effective five (5) days after publication in the Official Journal.
