ORDINANCE NO.
Title
An ordinance to waive the Sewer Development Connection Fee for the St. Charles Parish Correctional Facility.
Body
WHEREAS, the St. Charles Parish Code in Chapter 23 Article V established a Sewer Development Connection Fee for various facilities constructed in St. Charles Parish; and,
WHEREAS, the St. Charles Parish Sheriff's Office is currently constructing a new Correctional Facility at 5061 LA Hwy. 3127 in Killona; and,
WHEREAS, the Department of Wastewater has calculated the Sewer Development Connection Fee at $195,132.00; and,
WHEREAS, the Sheriff's Office has requested that this fee be waived for the Correctional Facility.
THE ST. CHARLES PARISH COUNCIL HEREBY ORDAINS:
SECTION I. That the Sewer Development Connection Fee in the amount of $195,132.00 for the St. Charles Parish Correctional Facility at 5061 LA 3127 in Killona, LA is hereby waived.
SECTION II. That the Department of Wastewater is hereby authorized to connect said facility to the Parish sewer system without payment of said fee.
