Title
An ordinance to approve and authorize the execution of a Contract with SDT Waste & Debris Services, LLC for Solid Waste Collection Services.
Body
WHEREAS, the St. Charles Parish Council adopted Resolution No. 5775 on September 20, 2010 which approved the 2011 Contract Documents and Specifications for Solid Waste Collection for St. Charles Parish; and,
WHEREAS, sealed proposals for said services were received on November 5, 2010; and,
WHEREAS, the Contract/Finance and Administrative Committee, at its October 19, 2010, meeting approved a Proposal Evaluation Process, however, due to the wide difference in pricing and the Administrative review of all proposals submitted which indicated that the lowest proposal meets all requirements of the 2011 Contract Documents & Specifications, the Proposal Evaluation Process is hereby waived; and,
WHEREAS, it is the desire of the Parish Council to accept the lowest proposal, which was submitted by SDT Waste & Debris Services, LLC in the amount of $9.74 per unit per month, at a direct savings to the residents of St. Charles Parish of $2.25 per unit per month; and,
WHEREAS, SDT Waste & Debris Services, LLC, by Memorandum of Understanding, has agreed to guarantee its price for curbside recycling services through March 1, 2012 to allow the Parish the option to add said service at a later date.
THE ST. CHARLES PARISH COUNCIL HEREBY ORDAINS:
SECTION I. That the Proposal Evaluation Process is hereby waived and the proposal of SDT Waste & Debris Services, LLC for Solid Waste Collection Services, Base Proposal (A.1) in the amount of $9.74 per unit, per month for twice weekly semi-automa...
