IN RECOGNITION
WHEREAS, Erik Tucker, is a resident of Norco, Louisiana in St. Charles Parish; and,
WHEREAS, Erik has overcome many obstacles in his pursuit of becoming an outstanding choir member; and,
WHEREAS, Erik has been blessed with a fabulous voice and he is able to express himself through his incredible vocal talent; and,
WHEREAS, Erik is a leader in the school choir and was also a member of the choir at Schoeffner Elementary School which he attended last year; and,
WHEREAS, Erik has had to attend weekly after school rehearsals, practice, and memorize several songs, vocal parts, and has had to attend scheduled performances to be in the choir; and,
WHEREAS, Erik performed during Christmas at St. Rose Primary School, New Sarpy Senior Citizens Center and the festivities ended with a performance at the New Orleans Christmas in the Oaks Celebration; and,
WHEREAS, Erik is a true inspiration to all students who believe "they can"; and,
WHEREAS, Erik as one of the first St. Charles Parish students in 20 years to achieve in the "Yes I Can 2000" Program was recognized by the School Board and was recently awarded for Outstanding Achievement and selected as a winner in the statewide competition, Arts Category.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, THAT WE, THE MEMBERS OF THE ST. CHARLES PARISH COUNCIL AND THE PARISH PRESIDENT, do hereby offer this tribute and recognition to
ERIK TUCKER
"PARISH OF PLENTY"
created in 1807 from the county of the
"German Coast", a parish of
unprecedented economic and social
development, known for its
hospitality, rural living and sporting
opportunitiesÂ… with the added
distinction of being located
on both sides of the
Mighty Mississippi River.
