Title
A resolution creating the Hurricane Protection Projects Committee as a Committee of the Council as a whole.
Body
WHEREAS, the Parish Council deems it necessary to form this Committee to review and discuss all Parish projects/contracts as related to Hurricane Protection for the Parish of St. Charles; and,
WHEREAS, it is essential that all associated Corps of Engineers projects and any other related projects that would provide hurricane protection or add to our existing hurricane protection on either side of the river are reviewed to ensure the most adequate protection available; and,
WHEREAS, there is a need for a Hurricane Protection Projects Committee to be created to benefit all citizens of the Parish.
THE ST. CHARLES PARISH COUNCIL HEREBY RESOLVES:
SECTION I. That the Hurricane Protection Projects Committee be created as a Committee of the Council as a whole to ensure that all projects related to Hurricane Protection for the citizens of St. Charles Parish receive full review and/or discussion by the Council for complete understanding to insure successful implementation of all Hurricane Protection Projects for St. Charles Parish.
