Title
A resolution approving the appointment of Mr. Jay A. Roberts as a member of The Port of South Louisiana Commission.
Body
WHEREAS, there exist a vacancy on The Port of South Louisiana Commission due to the expiration of the term of Mr. Paul Joseph Murray III; and,
WHEREAS, the Parish President has appointed Mr. Jay A. Roberts, 1089 Primrose Drive, Luling, LA 70070, to fill said vacancy; and,
WHEREAS, Louisiana Law requires that said appointment be confirmed by a two-thirds vote of the members of the Parish Council.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, THAT WE, THE MEMBERS OF THE ST. CHARLES PARISH COUNCIL, do hereby confirm the appointment of Mr. Jay A. Roberts as a member of The Port of South Louisiana Commission; and,
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that said term of office shall expire on January 14, 2008.
