Title
An ordinance to approve and authorize the execution of a contract with Cajun Constructors, Inc. for project S080501-1 Destrehan WWTP Rehabilitation Phase I Headworks in the amount of $349,500.00.
Body
WHEREAS, sealed bids were received by St. Charles Parish on October 30, 2008, for project S080501-1 Destrehan WWTP Rehabilitation Phase I Headworks; and,
WHEREAS, CH2MHILL, the Engineer for the Project, has reviewed the bids and recommend that the Contract be awarded to the low bidder, Cajun Constructors, Inc., in the amount of $349,500.00; and,
WHEREAS, the Destrehan Wastewater Treatment Plant services the entire East Bank of St. Charles Parish and repair of the failed lining in the flow divider box is critical to avoiding significant interruption of plant operations.
THE ST. CHARLES PARISH COUNCIL HEREBY ORDAINS:
SECTION I. That the bid of Cajun Constructors, Inc., for the construction of project S080501-1 Destrehan WWTP Rehabilitation Phase I Headworks, be hereby accepted, in the amount of $349,500.00.
SECTION II. That the Parish President is hereby authorized to execute the attached contract documents.
