IN RECOGNITION
WHEREAS, Nicholas J. Dupuy, is a resident of St. Charles Parish residing in Destrehan, Louisiana with his parents Jim and Sally Dupuy, and his sisters Caitlin, Lainey, and brother Patrick; and,
WHEREAS, Nick is a Member of Troop 317, chartered by the St. Charles United Methodist Church in Destrehan; he started his Scouting career in September 2006; and,
WHEREAS, Nick has spent the last 10 years as an active Member of the Scouts spending the last 5 years preparing to become an EAGLE SCOUT; and,
WHEREAS, Nick has earned his 21 required merit badges and 5 elective badges from a list of 126 badges and completed his Eagle Scout Service Project by designing, building, and installing three benches on the Wetlands Watchers Park nature trail. His project was completed in March 2012; and,
WHEREAS, Nick earned these 21 required badges by showing leadership ability as Senior Patrol Leader, Patrol Leader, and Troop Guide; and,
WHEREAS, Nick rose to the rank of EAGLE SCOUT on May 24, 2012, and received his medal in a ceremony on August 6, 2012, at the St. Charles United Methodist Church Fellowship Hall in Destrehan; and,
WHEREAS, Nick is a Junior at Destrehan High School and will continue to grow as an EAGLE SCOUT by providing leadership to Troop 317.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, THAT WE, THE MEMBERS OF THE ST. CHARLES PARISH COUNCIL AND THE PARISH PRESIDENT, do hereby offer this tribute and recognition to
Nicholas J. Dupuy
