Title
An ordinance to approve and authorize the execution of a professional service multi-phase project agreement with Picciola & Associates, Inc., for providing all necessary professional engineering services for a project that increases the trash screen capacity and the size of the sump into Destrehan Pump Station (P.S.) No. 2. (Parish Project Number P181101).
Body
WHEREAS, Destrehan P.S. No. 2 is an existing pump station that serves a large drainage area in the Ormond section of the Parish; and,
WHEREAS, the sizes of the existing trash screen and sump for Destrehan P.S. No. 2 need to be increased to allow all five existing pumps to operate simultaneously; and,
WHEREAS, the attached agreement between Picciola & Associates describes the proposed engineering services and compensation for the proposed improvements; and,
WHEREAS, the following work phases will be authorized by individual task orders as required for the continuation of the capital improvement project.
Phase 1: Preliminary Engineering Design
Phase 2: Final Engineering Design
Phase 3: Bidding Phase Services
Phase 4: Construction Phase Services
Phase 5: Resident Project Representative Services
THE ST. CHARLES PARISH COUNCIL HEREBY ORDAINS:
SECTION I. That the Professional Services Agreement between Picciola & Associates and St. Charles Parish for services as required and assigned via Task Order by the Department of Public Works is hereby approved and accepted.
SECTION II. That the Parish President is hereby authorized to execute said Professional Services Agreement on behalf of St. Charles Parish.
The foregoing ordinance having been submitted to a vote, the vote thereon was as follows:
