Proclamation: "The Wall That Heals Experience" - A Traveling Replica of the Vietnam Veterans War Memorial

P R O C L A M A T I O N
WHEREAS, Harry Hurst Middle School in St. Charles Parish, represents a community that celebrates and honors all those who have served and who currently serve the United States Armed Forces; and,
WHEREAS, the Wall That Heals is a traveling replica of the Vietnam Veterans War Memorial complete with the 58,249 names of those killed or missing in action from the conflict; and,
WHEREAS, the Wall That Heals will become a part of the Parish Community May 7-10, 2009, while on display at Harry Hurst Middle School Football Field; and,
WHEREAS, all citizens are invited to view the monument, honor the legacy, and remember those who made the ultimate sacrifice for our country.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, THAT WE, THE MEMBERS OF THE ST. CHARLES PARISH COUNCIL AND THE PARISH PRESIDENT, DO HEREBY PROCLAIM MAY 7-10, 2009, AS
"THE WALL THAT HEALS EXPERIENCE"
IN ST. CHARLES PARISH AND URGE ALL CITIZENS TO TAKE TIME THIS MAY TO HONOR ALL WHO SERVE IN THE ARMED FORCES OF THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA.
