Title
An ordinance to approve and authorize the execution of Amendment No. 1 to Ordinance No. 16-7-7, a Professional Services Agreement with GCR, Inc., for land program management and right-of-way acquisition services for Project No. P080802-5 Coulee Canal Access for Maintenance Phase 2, to allow for term extensions in one (1) year increments for a maximum of three (3) years and to increase the compensation limitation by $15,000.00 due to the significant increase in the services required due to landowner succession complications discovered during title research.
Body
WHEREAS, the St. Charles Parish Council adopted Ordinance No. 16-7-7 on July 18, 2016, approving a professional services agreement with GCR, Inc. for land program management and right-of-way acquisition services for the above referenced project for a period of one year with a stipulation that a one year renewal was allowable upon the agreement of both parties. St. Charles Parish and GCR, Inc. extended the above referenced Agreement for a period of one (1) year allowing the agreement time to end July 20, 2018; and,
WHEREAS, the St. Charles Parish Council desires to approve Amendment No. 1 to the above referenced Professional Service Agreement to add language allowing for mutually beneficial term extensions to take place in one (1) year increments for a maximum of three (3) years which would allow the Agreement term to be extended through July 20, 2020 if agreed to by both parties; to extend the current period by 365 days making the current contract end date July 20, 2019 and to increase the maximum compensation limitation of the contract by $15,000.00 for a total of $98,750.00.
THE ST. CHARLES PARISH COUNCIL HEREBY ORDAINS:
