ORDINANCE NO._ 03-4-19
Title
An ordinance to approve and authorize the execution of an Engineering Services Contract with Meyer Engineers, Ltd. for the design of Parish Project No. P000324, Pump Station Covers, Phase II.
Body
WHEREAS, St. Charles Parish is in the process of placing covers over drainage pump stations to protect equipment and maintenance workers from the elements; and,
WHEREAS, this project design will specify covers to Paradis, Tibby-DA, Randolph, Schexnaydre, New Sarpy, and Lakewood Pump Stations; and,
WHEREAS, the QBS Selection Board met on February 26, 2003 and recommended award of Parish Project No. P000324, Pump Station Covers, Phase II to Meyer Engineers, Ltd. (See Attachment A); and,
WHEREAS, the Probable Project Budget for this contract is as follows:
Construction $ 240,000
Basic Engineering 17,000
Soils Investigation 2,000
Surveying 4,000
Resident Inspection 24,000
Testing/Other 8,000
Total Probable Project Budget $ 295,000
THE ST. CHARLES PARISH COUNCIL HEREBY ORDAINS:
SECTION I. That the Engineering Services Contract with Meyer Engineers, Ltd. for the design of Parish Project No. P000324, Pump Station Covers, Phase II be hereby accepted.
SECTION II. That the Parish President is hereby authorized to execute the attached Engineering Services Contract.

The foregoing ordinance having been submitted to a vote, the vote thereon was as follows:
YEAS: RAMCHANDRAN, HILAIRE, ABADIE, AUTHEMENT, BLACK, MARINO, MINNICH
NAYS: NONE
ABSENT: FAUCHEUX, FABRE
And the ordinance was declared adopted this 21st day of April , 2003, to become effective five (5) days after publication in the Official Journal.
