IN RECOGNITION
WHEREAS, St. Charles Parish Parks and Recreation Department has long held a prominent place in the State of Louisiana and the United States as an outstanding Parish and Recreation Program; and,
WHEREAS, for several years St. Charles Parish Parks and Recreation Department has been coordinating the Men's Adult Industrial Softball League; and,
WHEREAS, the St. Charles Parish Team excelled in the 2006 Industrial League Season with a record of 7-3; and,
WHEREAS, the end of the season tournament started on November 7, 2006, at the West Bank Bridge Park in Luling, Louisiana. On November 8, 2006, St. Charles Parish defeated Whitener Snacks advancing them into the Semi-finals; and,
WHEREAS, on November 9, 2006, St. Charles Parish defeated Oxy Chemical advancing them into the Finals; and,
WHEREAS, on November 13, 2006, St. Charles Parish defeated Dupont earning them the title of 2006 Men's Adult Industrial League Softball Champions; and,
WHEREAS, members of the Parish Council and the Parish President wish to recognize the outstanding performance of the 2006 St. Charles Parish Team and their Coach.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, THAT WE, THE MEMBERS OF THE ST. CHARLES PARISH COUNCIL, AND THE PARISH PRESIDENT, DO HEREBY RECOGNIZE
