IN RECOGNITION
WHEREAS, Donald James Muller is a resident of St. Charles Parish residing in Luling, Louisiana with his wife of 56 years Betty Loupe Muller; they are the proud parents of three sons, Donald, Jr., Perry, and Marty; seven grandchildren, Christin, Christian, Jessica, Danielle, Britton, Forest, and Lani, and four great-grandchildren, Addison, Jermiah, Ethan, and Londyn; and,
WHEREAS, Donald is a 1956 graduate of Hahnville High School and received a basketball and baseball scholarship from the University of Southwestern Louisiana (now known as the University of Louisiana at Lafayette); and,
WHEREAS, Donald worked at Avondale Shipyard, Monsanto Chemical Company, owned and managed Dudes and Dads Clothing store, and worked for 12 years at the St. Charles Parish Recreation Department; he has been retired since 2001; and,
WHEREAS, Donald’s hobbies are spoiling the grandchildren and great-grandchildren, fishing, and hunting; and,
WHEREAS, Donald is a survivor of colon cancer and skin cancer and was selected King through a drawing held at the Relay for Life Survivor Celebration Dinner sponsored by Valero on March 15, 2016 at the KC Hall in Norco; and,
WHEREAS, as King, Donald will reign at this year’s Relay for Life event on Saturday, September 17, 2016 at the Westbank Bridge Park.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, THAT WE, THE MEMBERS OF THE ST. CHARLES PARISH COUNCIL AND THE PARISH PRESIDENT, do hereby offer this tribute and recognition to
