Title
An ordinance to approve and authorize the execution of the Nationwide Retirement Solutions, Inc. Amended and Restated 457(b) Governmental Plan Document for Public Employees offered through the National Association of Counties Deferred Compensation Program.
Body
WHEREAS, the United States Department of Treasury issued final regulations for Internal Revenue Code Section 457; and,
WHEREAS, the Internal Revenue Service requires that governmental 457(b) plans conform to the final regulations as of January 1, 2006; and,
WHEREAS, the Amended and Restated Plan Document complies with the final regulations and includes modifications that are a result of recent IRS regulations, rulings and guidance.
THE ST. CHARLES PARISH COUNCIL HEREBY ORDAINS:
SECTION I. That the Nationwide Retirement Solutions, Inc. Deferred Compensation Plan For Public Employees Amended and Restated 457(b) Government Plan Document Effective January 1, 2006 is hereby approved and accepted for the Administration of the St. Charles Parish Deferred Compensation Plan.
SECTION II. This Plan Document replaces those previously approved by Ordinances No. 93-5-10, 97-1-5, 98-1-4, and 02-5-5.

The foregoing ordinance having been submitted to a vote, the vote thereon was as follows:
