Title
An ordinance to amend the St. Charles Parish Zoning Ordinance of 1981, to change the zoning classification from C-3 to R-1A(M) on a 7,840 square foot area consisting of Lots 26, 27, and 28, St. Rose Gardens, 716 St. Rose Avenue, St. Rose, as requested by Stephen Aucoin.
Body
WHEREAS, the property owner requests rezoning from C-3 to R-1A(M) on a 7,840 square foot area consisting of Lots 26, 27, and 28, St. Rose Gardens, 716 St. Rose Avenue, St. Rose, as requested by Stephen Aucoin; and,
WHEREAS, the Planning and Zoning Department recommended approval of the request; and,
WHEREAS, the Planning and Zoning Commission recommended approval of the request at its regular meeting of November 5, 2020; and,
WHEREAS, the subject area does not exceed 3 acres, but the recommendation of approval requests a corresponding Future Land Use Map amendment from Commercial to Rural Residential.
THE ST. CHARLES PARISH COUNCIL HEREBY ORDAINS:
SECTION I. The Zoning Ordinance of 1981 is amended to change the zoning classification from C-3 to R-1A(M) on a 7,840 square foot area consisting of Lots 26, 27, and 28, St. Rose Gardens, 716 St. Rose Avenue, St. Rose, as requested by Stephen Aucoin.
SECTION II. The Department of Planning and Zoning is authorized to amend the Official Zoning Map, St. Charles Parish, Louisiana to reflect this reclassification from C-3 to R-1A(M) on a 7,840 square foot area consisting of Lots 26, 27, and 28, St. Rose Gardens, 716 St. Rose Avenue, St. Rose, as requested by Stephen Aucoin.
SECTION III. To authorize the Department of Planning and Zoning to make the corresponding change from Commercial to Rural Residential on the Future Land Use Map, adopted with ordinance 11-6-11, amended by ordinance 16-9-16.
