Title
A resolution to approve and authorize the execution of an agreement with the State of Louisiana Division of Administration and St. Charles Parish for the Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) Disaster Recovery Program through the Restore Louisiana Infrastructure: FEMA Public Assistance Non-Federal Share Match Program and to authorize the filing of the CDBG application.
Body
WHEREAS, in August 2016, St. Charles Parish was affected by the severe storms and flooding resulting in a Presidential Disaster Declaration; and,
WHEREAS, the FEMA Public Assistance Program has obligated Federal funding in the amount of 90% of eligible disaster related expenditures; and,
WHEREAS, the State of Louisiana Division of Administration Office of Community Development Disaster Recovery Unit has created the Restore Louisiana Infrastructure: FEMA Public Assistance Non-Federal Share Match Program, which will obligate the remaining 10% through CDBG funding from the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development; and,
WHEREAS, St. Charles Parish agrees with said agreement; and,
WHEREAS, it is the desire of the Parish Council to approve and authorize the execution of said agreement and to authorize the filing of the CDBG application.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, THAT WE, THE MEMBERS OF THE ST. CHARLES PARISH COUNCIL, do hereby approve and authorize the execution of an agreement with the State of Louisiana Division of Administration and St. Charles Parish for the CDBG Disaster Recovery Program through the Restore Louisiana Infrastructure: FEMA Public Assistance Non-Federal Share Match Program and authorize the filing of the CDBG application.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Parish President is hereby authorized to execute said agreement and to act on behalf of St. Charles Parish in all matters pertaining to this project.
