IN RECOGNITION
WHEREAS, Harry Raymond Coleman, Jr. was born in Greenville, Mississippi and currently is a resident of Cordova, Tennessee where he resides with his wife Katheryn and one of their three children; and,
WHEREAS, Harry Raymond Coleman, Jr. is President of Riverside Coastal Mitigation Lands, L.L.C. in Cordova, Tennessee; and,
WHEREAS, Harry Raymond Coleman, Jr. started in the real estate business in 1974 and his son Harry Coleman, III joined him in the business in 2000. The Coleman's primarily operate under the Coleman Properties name with properties located throughout the mid-south area; and,
WHEREAS, Harry Raymond Coleman, Jr. has a 20 year history of being very conservative and environmentally sensitive of lands they have owned or still own. They have saved in excess of 100,000 acres through selling land for state and federal refuges, planting trees, putting lands under conservation servitudes, putting land into mitigation banks, or by other means; and,
WHEREAS, Harry Raymond Coleman, Jr. through a very generous Act of Onerous Donation has donated 8.45 acres to St. Charles Parish for a recreational park located along LA 3141, Mary Plantation Road in Killona.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, THAT WE, THE MEMBERS OF THE ST. CHARLES PARISH COUNCIL AND THE PARISH PRESIDENT, do hereby offer this tribute and recognition to
HARRY RAYMOND COLEMAN, JR.
"PARISH OF PLENTY"
created in 1807 from the county of the
"German Coast", a parish of
unprecedented economic and social
development, known for its
hospitality, rural living and sporting
opportunitiesÂ… with the added
distinction of being located
on both sides of the
Mighty Mississippi River.
