Title
A resolution providing mandatory support for The St. Charles Historical Foundation to acquire a special permit for The German Coast Farmers' Market, a green market, to locate and operate in a C-3 zoning district.

WHEREAS, the St. Charles Parish Zoning Ordinance of 1981 (as amended) requires both Planning Commission approval and a supporting resolution by Parish Council for permission to operate a green market in a C-3 zoning district; and,
WHEREAS, the German Coast Farmers' Market is a green market that has requested permission to locate and operate on the site of Ormond Plantation in Destrehan, La.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED THAT THE ST. CHARLES PARISH COUNCIL, does hereby support the following stipulations:
1. The Market open during daylight hours.
2. Additions to German Coast Farmers' Market site plan portfolio be approved by the Department of Planning and Zoning.
3. Operation be limited to Saturdays and Sundays at the Ormond Plantation site with this permit. Operation on any other day or at any other site requires consideration of a separate Special Permit Application.
4. German Coast Farmers' Market provide proof of 501c3 or non-profit status to the Department of Planning and Zoning before operation.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED THAT THE ST. CHARLES PARISH COUNCIL, does hereby provide supporting resolution for The St. Charles Historical Foundation to acquire a special permit for The German Coast Farmers' Market to locate and operate a green market on the site of Ormond Plantation, a C-3 zoning district, as outlined in Planning and Zoning Commission case PZSPU-2003-02.
