Title
An ordinance approving and authorizing the execution of an Act of Donation and Transfer by and between Chevron U.S.A. Inc. ("Chevron") and St. Charles Parish for a certain parcel of land, identified as Parcel 1-1-R-1, comprising approximately 9.998 acres for the purpose of operating and maintaining the Sunset Pump Station.
Body
WHEREAS, St. Charles Parish has identified enhancements to the Sunset Pump Station that will improve drainage in the Sunset Drainage District; and,
WHEREAS, these enhancements include the project to widen the Crawford Canal to create a larger sump area and install trash screens to reduce the impacts of trash and debris on the Sunset Pump Station operations; and,
WHEREAS, Chevron U.S.A. previously donated and St. Charles Parish accepted portions of the real estate required to construct these enhancements; and,
WHEREAS, the remaining real estate required to construct these enhancements which consists of approximately 9.998 acres was subject to a conservation servitude; and,
WHEREAS, Chevron U.S.A. has amended the conservation servitude to remove this tract in order for Chevron U.S.A. to donate the remaining real estate required for St. Charles Parish to construct these enhancements; and,
WHEREAS, Chevron U.S.A. has agreed to donate the remaining real estate necessary to implement these drainage enhancements to St. Charles Parish, more particularly described in detail in the attached Act of Donation and Transfer.
THE ST. CHARLES PARISH COUNCIL HEREBY ORDAINS:
SECTION I. That the Act of Donation and Transfer made by Chevron U.S.A., Inc. to St. Charles Parish for that certain parcel of land identified as Parcel 1-1-R-1 as more fully shown on the Right of Way Map entitled "Crawford Canal Widening Project, Bayou Gauche, St. Charles Parish, Louisiana", dated November 16, 2022, last revised January 23, 2025, prepared by Stephen P.
