Title
An ordinance to approve and authorize the execution of an Engineering Services Contract with Digital Engineering & Imaging, Inc. for the design of Parish Project No. P030905, River Bend (CNICRR & KCSRR) Jack and Bores.
Body
WHEREAS, drainage improvements are required near the intersections of River Bend Drive and the Canadian National Illinois Central Railroad and the Kansas City Southern Railroad in St. Rose, Louisiana; and,
WHEREAS, this project design will implement jack and bores in accordance with the St. Charles Parish Master Drainage Plan to improve drainage in the surrounding area; and,
WHEREAS, the QBS Selection Board met on March 3, 2004 and recommended award of Parish Project No. P030905, River Bend (CNICRR & KCSRR) Jack and Bores to Digital Engineering & Imaging, Inc. (See Attachment A); and,
WHEREAS, the Probable Project Budget for this contract is as follows:
Construction $ 220,500
Basic Engineering 17,600
Soils Investigation 2,500
Surveying 5,000
Resident Inspection 26,000
Testing/Other 9,000
Total Probable Project Budget $ 280,600
THE ST. CHARLES PARISH COUNCIL HEREBY ORDAINS:
SECTION I. That the Engineering Services Contract with Digital Engineering & Imaging, Inc. for the design of Parish Project No. P030905, River Bend (CNICRR & KCSRR) Jack and Bores be hereby accepted.
SECTION II. That the Parish President is hereby authorized to execute the attached Engineering Services Contract.
