Title
An ordinance of the Parish of St. Charles providing that the Code of Ordinances, Parish of St. Charles, be amended by revising Chapter 13, Article VII., Charitable Bingo, Keno and Raffles, Sec. 13-628 so as to prohibit the use of electronic video bingo machines.
Body
WHEREAS, R.S. 4:706(B) of the Louisiana Revised Statutes provides that the governing authority of each parish decide whether charitable raffles, bingo and keno shall be permitted within the Parish of St. Charles; and,
WHEREAS, the St. Charles Parish Council now desires to exercise that authority by prohibiting the conducting of electronic video bingo within the Parish of St. Charles.
THE ST. CHARLES PARISH COUNCIL HEREBY ORDAINS:
SECTION I. That Chapter 13, Article VII., Charitable Bingo, Keno and Raffles, Sec. 13-628 be amended as follows:
Sec. 13-628 Use of electronic video bingo machines prohibited.
The use of electronic video bingo machines within the Parish is prohibited.
SECTION II. That the current provisions of Chapter 13, Article VII., Charitable Bingo, Keno and Raffles, Sec. 13-628 (a) through (j) are hereby deleted.

And the ordinance was declared adopted this day of , 2007, to become effective five (5) days after publication in the Official Journal.
