Title
An ordinance approving and authorizing the execution of Change Order No. 1(Final) for Parish Project No. P100301-2 Install Control Gates on Culverts at Prescott Pump Station to increase the contract amount by $1,880.00 and decrease the contract time by one hundred twenty (120) days.
Body
WHEREAS, Ordinance No. 10-12-8, adopted December 6, 2010, by the St. Charles Parish Council, approved and authorized the execution of a contract with Volute, Inc. for Parish Project No. P100301-2 Install Control Gates on Culverts at Prescott Pump Station in the amount of $93,438.00; and,
WHEREAS, The increase in contract amount was a result of increasing the height of the gate from 48 inches to 60 inches to provide additional protection against leakage; and,
WHEREAS, The decrease in contract time was a result of good schedule management by the contractor, no weather interruptions, and a shorter manufacturing and delivery time for the gate.
THE ST. CHARLES PARISH COUNCIL HEREBY ORDAINS:
SECTION I. That Change Order No. 1(Final) for Parish Project No. P100301-2 Install Control Gates on Culverts at Prescott Pump Station to increase the contract amount by $1,880.00 and decrease the contract time by one hundred twenty (120) days is hereby approved and accepted.
SECTION II. That the Parish President is hereby authorized to execute said Change Order on behalf of St. Charles Parish.
