Special Events, Section 17-19. Special provisions to revise Hours of Operation to add the St. Charles Parish Crawfish Cook-Off Festival held at the Jerusalem Shrine Center in Destrehan, shall not extend past 11:00 p.m. on Friday and Saturday night.

WHEREAS, on May 1, 1989, the Parish Council enacted Ordinance No. 89-5-1 providing regulations for all special events; and,
WHEREAS, the Ormond Civic Association and Jerusalem Shrine Center, sponsors of the St. Charles Parish Crawfish Cook-Off Festival held at the Jerusalem Shrine Center in Destrehan, has requested that they be allowed to operate past the 10:00 p.m. closing time on Friday and Saturday; and,
WHEREAS, it is the desire of the Parish Council to approve said request.
THE ST. CHARLES PARISH COUNCIL HEREBY ORDAINS:
SECTION I. That Chapter 17. Parks and Recreation, Article II. Special Events, Section 17-19. Special provisions, (a) be amended as follows:
(a) Hours of operation for all events shall be 7:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. Sunday through Thursday, 8:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m. Friday and Saturday, excluding functions held within a permanent structure. Exception: Hours of operation for all events held at the West Bank and East Bank Bridge Parks shall be 7:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m. Sunday through Thursday, 8:00 a.m. to 11:00 p.m. Friday and Saturday, excluding functions held within a permanent structure. Hours of operation for the Catfish Festival held at St. Gertrude Catholic Church, the River Parishes Fall Festival held at Sacred Heart of Jesus Catholic Church, and the St. Charles Parish Crawfish Cook-Off Festival held at the Jerusalem Shrine Center, shall not extend past 11:00 p.m. on Friday and Saturday night.
