Title
An ordinance to approve and authorize the execution of an Agreement with The Gee Cee Company of LA, Inc. for the construction of the Animal Shelter at 931 Rue La Cannes in Luling.
Body
WHEREAS, sealed bids were received on April 14, 2011for the construction of the Animal Shelter to be located at 931 Rue La Cannes in Luling; and,
WHEREAS, Campo Designs Architects, Inc. has reviewed the bids and recommends that the project be awarded to the low bidder for the Base Bid, Alternate No. 1 and Alternate No. 2, The Gee Cee Company of LA, Inc. in the amount of $1,583,200.00; and,
WHEREAS, it is the desire of the Parish Council to approve said Agreement.
THE ST. CHARLES PARISH COUNCIL HEREBY ORDAINS:
SECTION I. That the bid of The Gee Cee Company of LA, Inc. for the construction of the Animal Shelter, Base Bid, Alternate No.1 and Alternate No. 2 is hereby approved and accepted in the amount of $1,583,200.00.
SECTION II. That the Parish President is hereby authorized to execute said Agreement on behalf of St. Charles Parish.

And the ordinance was declared adopted this day of , 2011, to become effective five (5) days after publication in the Official Journal.
